Industrial Heat Treating and Brazing Equipment

We at Nevada Heat Treating are proud of our clean, modern, well equipped facility. Our High Temperature Vacuum Furnaces are maintained in accordance with AMS 2750, which allows us to perform all levels of Nadcap vacuum heat treating processes including vacuum hardening, bright annealing, vacuum aging, vacuum equipmentbrazing and precipitation hardening. Equipped with automated data capture and monitoring & recording capability, Nevada Heat Treating’s energy efficient vacuum furnace has the ability to record critical run-time data and keep variation between runs to a minimum.

With furnaces capable of loading up to 2500 pounds, Nevada Heat Treating’s Nadcap certified heat treatment processes perform age hardening heat treatment on carbon and alloy steel, as well as alloys such as stainless steel, hot work, mold, high speed, cold work and special purpose steels. Monthly calibrations and systems accuracy tests are performed to maintain an AMS Class 5 uniformity throughout the work zone.

Our Controlled Atmosphere Furnaces with an Integral Oil Quench have class 5 (+/- 25 degree uniformity) instrumentation to ensure temperature and time uniformity within the requirements of AMS 2750. We perform neutral hardening, carburizing, carbonitriding, normalizing, and case hardening, to convert metals to a more usable state and meeting our customer strength requirements.

Our Air Temper/Age Furnaces are used for setting mechanical properties that are required per AMS specifications. These furnaces are used for tempering, aging, precipitation hardening and stress relieving. It provides age hardening for PH grade stainless steel 17-4 and 15-5 and is certified to AMS2750 as a Class 2 furnace.

When cooling is needed to achieve necessary metallurgical conditions, Nevada Heat Treating has two Cryogenic Freezers that will provide cold stabilization to AMS specifications with a low end temperature range down to -120 degrees.

Our NEWAGE Indentron Rockwell Hardness Testers with SPC Capability are used to test materials and meet customer requirements for hardness. We use the Rockwell and Superficial Hardness Testing Methods and Conversion scale C, A, B, E, 15N, and 15T.
